What are my Billing options via the Stan's Donuts & Coffee app?

There are multiple billing options you may choose from via the Stan's Donuts & Coffee app:

  • Instant Billing
  • Preload/Reload Billing
  • Loyalty Only

Instant Billing:
Instant Billing is exactly what it sounds like. Under the Instant Billing method, you may add a card via the “Payment Method" link found in the drop-down menu of the Settings section of the Stan's Donuts & Coffee app. Once your card is added, your account will automatically be enrolled in Instant Billing as long as you don’t have any Preloaded Funds.

To pay for each order under Instant Billing, please be sure to scan the QR code to “Pay and Earn Loyalty” before scanning your app at checkout for in-store orders.

Selecting the Instant Billing option charges the card on file instantly for your orders and transactions at the time of service. This saves an extra step at check-out, allowing you to pay for your order and earn/redeem rewards in one swift step! 

 

Preload Billing:
This Billing Method allows you to add a certain amount of Preloaded Credit to your Stan's Donuts & Coffee account to use on your orders. Under this billing option, you may select a value of anywhere between $10 - $100 to upload to your account and your in-app orders will be deducted from that amount. 

To select this Billing Method, you must first add a card to your Stan's Donuts & Coffee account in the “Payment Methods" section of the app. This can be found by tapping the gear icon on the top right-hand side of any screen of the app.

Toward the bottom of the “Payment Methods” screen, you should see an option to add funds. To enable Preload Billing and to add funds to your account, tap “Add Funds”

On this screen, you may select the amount you'd like to upload from your linked card to your digital account by tapping the desired amount and confirming your selection by tapping “Add Funds” at the bottom of the screen to confirm your selection.

Under the Preload Billing method, your Preloaded Funds will only be applied to your orders after any and all applicable rewards have first been fully exhausted. It’s also a good idea to keep your card linked to your account in the event that the cost of your order ever exceeds your Preloaded Balance.

 

You may also check your Preloaded Balance at any time in this "Payment Method" screen. 

What if I Preload funds to my account by accident or decide later I'd rather not have Preloaded my account?
No worries at all! Feel free to email us at stansdonutsandcoffee@thelevelup.com, and our dedicated team would be happy to refund any unused Preloaded balance back to the original payment instrument!


Loyalty Only

This billing option is for loyalty only and is sometimes referred to as "Two-touch" Billing as it requires two actions to complete. First, you must scan your app at the register to earn or redeem rewards only, then you may pay independently of the app using cash or a card directly at the register. 

This option is great for folks who would like to pay in cash and still earn rewards or who would rather not link a card to their account.

If you have a card linked to your account, you may still use this Billing Method. The Stan's Donuts & Coffee app includes two QR codes in the "Scan/Pay" section of the app, which may be found on the “Pay” or “Scan” section of the app.

The first code will be visible as long as you have a card linked to your account and reads, “Pay and Earn Loyalty.” This is the code you need to scan to both pay using the card linked or any preloaded funds on your account and to earn and redeem rewards.

Tapping this option will also open a menu to change the QR code to read “Check-in to earn loyalty.” This option removes any payment information from the QR code, allowing you to scan it to earn points or redeem any rewards, while paying with cash or card directly at the register.

If you select this code, then remove your card from the app, the "Pay" code will disappear entirely so you never accidentally scan the wrong code. Please note, it is important to first select the "Rewards Only" code before removing your card so the correct QR code is locked into place.
